Bill Kelly

William N. Kelly is an award-winning landscape painter who is known for his watercolors of mountains, forests, and other natural landscapes. 

His work is characterized by its loose, painterly brushwork and its use of light and shadow to create a sense of atmosphere.

Kelly was born in Midland, Michigan.  He began painting at a young age, and he developed a passion for watercolors while in High School. After attending Michigan State University, and studying Advertising and Communication Arts, Kelly moved to Colorado, He has mostly lived and worked in Colorado ever since.

Kelly's paintings have been exhibited at shows in the Aspen Chapel Gallery, The Western Colorado Watercolor Society, The Rockies West National Show, The Brush and Palette Club, The Edge of Cedars Show, The Garfield County Fair and the Glenwood Library. His paintings are in the collections of many private individuals.

Kelly is an enthusiastic painter who is constantly experimenting with new techniques and styles.  He is inspired by the beauty of the natural world and he strives to capture the essence of nature in his paintings.
